My husband's Great-Great Grandfather, John Richard McIntosh, the famous confectioner of Columbia, South Carolina. Date unknown.

He seems like he's going to burst with pride, I agree. I love this photo so much. I plan to have a large one printed and hung at the end of our hallway.

Greta, I wish the penchant for sugary creation came down to my husband with the genes, but alas, it did not. Serves my waistline well, though, I guess. =)

That is my great grandfather. His son, Redmond Joseph MacIntosh is my mother's father. His father's name was John Stewart McIntosh after his father's cousin John Stewart.
